this original bunny rabbit portrait painting is framed in a hungarian antique ornately carved wood easel frame from the early 1900's in the art nouveau style. the mixed media painting is done on handcarved birch wood.

this gorgeous carved frame has an incredible amount of detail on both the frame and the stand. carving includes leaves, flowers, and vines with lot of texture. please note this frame has some wear and tear due to age, including missing pieces on the upper left-hand and lower right-hand corners, and split wood along the lower right-hand of the frame. however, the frame is structurely sound. there's a lot of nice patina. but i find these details a wonderful reminder that this frame has lived a long life-they make it all the more lovely. in fact, i have added an antiqued finish to the bunny rabbit painting to better match the frame. :)

part of my objet d'art series, i consider the artwork and the frame one piece-the art was created for this particular frame. however, the paintings can be easily removed from the back of the frame. please display the piece in indirect light to protect the art.

the painting has a lot of depth and detail. materials include 18k gold leaf, antique paper, vintage postage, antique handwritten letter from the 1800s.

size is approximately 7" in width, and 11" in height. the painting is about .5" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together!
