there's something very brave about bunnies-their lives are so fragile yet they live so boldly, so out in the open. this painting is in honor of their courage and trust.

this original bunny rabbit running landscape painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it also has a hanging wire for immediate wall display. this textural, mixed media painting is done on a piece of irregularly-shaped reclaimed wood. i buy all of my wood from a local furniture maker, and am never sure what he is going to sell me, which adds to the creative inspiration.

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. the left side, right side and bottom are layered forest brown and forest green. the top edge of the painting is layered forest brown, bright gold and olive green. materials include vintage doily, 18k gold leaf flakes, gold leaf sheets, vintage paper, vintage postage and antique handwritten letters.

size is approximately 12" in width, and 7.5" in height. the painting is about 1.25" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together!
