this original house in field under a starry night sky painting is part of the ongoing objet d'art series: the series features mixed media paintings on hand carved birch wood set in vintage or antique frames. the art and the frame are considered a single piece of artwork. this particular piece is in an oval florentine frame from the mid-1900s.

painting materials include vintage postage and doily, antique handwritten letters and antique paper from the 1800s, antique handcrafted lace, and 18k gold leaf. the painting can be readily removed from the frame. back of the frame is currently the original satin-covered backing, but i can purchase new backing by professional framers if this is your preference.

overall size is approximately 6.5" in width, and 8.5" in height. the painting is about 1" in depth.
