this original little snowy owl wearing a heart scarf in the snow painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it has a hook for immediate wall display. this mixed media painting is done a on a birch wood panel. i use birch wood on occasion for its lightweight durability. this piece is meant to have a vintage, distressed, textural aesthetic.

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. materials include vintage postage, vintage paper and antique handwritten letters. the materials have been layered and sealed to create a lot of texture with a nice aged, vintage tone.

overall size is approximately 5" in width, and 5" in height. the painting is about 1.25" in depth. sides are layered moss green and robin's egg blue.
