this sweet reindeer in a bells harness original painting is crafted on a birch wood panel. i occasionally use birch wood for its lightweight durability. perfect for display on a mantle, book shelf, or side table, the painting also has a hook for immediate wall display.

the painting is created using layers of materials. each layer is allowed to dry before applying the next one. the multiple materials gives the painting a lot of depth and detail. the sides of the painting are layered soft lilac and purple mauve. materials include antique handwritten letters from the 1800's, gold leaf, and vintage paper. the left-hand side of the painting has a victorian-style vintage postage stamp featuring a crescent moon-shaped santa holding two children.
